I’ve been where you are.
Hi! I’m Micole, The Counter founder…
I didn’t always feel at ease in my kitchen or in my body: unaware of how my ADHD, anxiety, and CPTSD turned simple daily tasks and goals into exhausting mental hurdles and impossible challenges, I constantly carried the weight of falling short.
After graduating from culinary school and coaching dozens of 1:1 clients through their own mealtime struggles, I realized that what keeps us stuck in cycles of burnout, food noise, shame, and overwhelm isn’t a lack of skill.
It’s self-compassion. Room for our humanity. A flow that honors your feelings and still keeps you fed.
So I built The Counter for all of us who feel deeply, overthink everything, and keep waiting for life to slow down before we start. Self-care isn’t born from trying harder. Nourishment doesn’t start with more recipes. Sustainable ease begins the moment you let life lead, and let everything else follow.
